Visiting the Most Crowded Island on Earth (I can’t forget what I saw)

We visited Santa Cruz del Islote, a tiny Colombian island where hundreds of people live in extremely crowded homes and narrow streets. We explored the residents’ daily lives, including their limited access to electricity, drinking water, healthcare, education, and sanitation, as well as the effects of pollution and tourism. We also met locals who shared the island’s history, traditions, livelihoods, and strong sense of community.
