Walking into Peru's Roughest Neighborhood

We explored several notorious neighborhoods in Lima and Callao, learning about gang activity, theft, poverty, inequality, and the challenges faced by local communities. We used a 360-degree drone to view dangerous areas from above, then visited wealthier districts, the beach, the port, Love Park, and historic settlements. We also discussed Peru's earthquakes, mining and drug trade, local traditions, political corruption, and the country's slow prospects for improvement.
