Walking into Senegal's Biggest Ghetto (West Africa)

We explored a local market and cattle market in Dakar with Biggie, learning about the difficult conditions faced by herders and residents of one of the city's poorest neighborhoods. We visited unsafe, partially collapsed buildings where families still live, then saw the community school and educational project Biggie runs for local children. We also traveled to a wealthier part of Dakar, visited the African Renaissance Monument, and discussed the contrast between the city's neighborhoods and the possibilities for people to improve their lives.
