Walking Streets Of Caracas, Venezuela (Crisis Visible)

We explore central Caracas after trying a coconut drink and taking the free metro, visiting Bolívar Square, the National Assembly, churches, the Central Bank, and other downtown landmarks. We speak with a local patrimonial police officer and observe street food, shops, a supermarket where basic goods are expensive compared with monthly salaries, and used-book stalls. We also experience the city's security risks and discuss how the crisis and crime affect daily life before preparing to leave Caracas for the coast or the mountains.
