Walking Streets of Yemen (harsh reality)

We explored Al Mukalla, visiting its old town and market, meeting local traders, and learning about the challenges people face with food, electricity, prices, and security. We met hip-hop dancers who explained how dancing helps them feel free, then visited a qat market and drove through the desert toward Al Mahrah. Along the way, we saw Yemen’s beautiful landscapes and historic buildings while witnessing the heavy military presence and the effects of the ongoing war.
