We plan to travel from Moscow to Dagestan to watch Khabib Nurmagomedov fight Conor McGregor among local people. We discuss Dagestan’s mountainous location, the region’s security risks, and the official warnings against travel there. We then arrange a cheaper flight into Ingushetia, intending to continue across the North Caucasus toward Dagestan.
