We climbed the tallest mountain in Colorado (Mt. Elbert in winter)

We hiked Mount Elbert, Colorado’s tallest mountain, in January with temperatures reaching around -20 degrees and strong winds. We started before sunrise from the trailhead and climbed through snowy forests before reaching the exposed section above treeline. Despite frozen hair, water, fingers, and toes, we pushed toward the summit and enjoyed being high above Colorado with our group.
