We Explored the World’s Largest Doomsday Community (575 underground bunkers)

We drove through snowy South Dakota to explore X-Point, a former military munitions depot with 575 underground bunkers being converted into a prepper community. We toured unfinished and completed bunkers, learned how they are designed for long-term off-grid living, and discussed the community’s plans for future amenities. We also met residents who explained why they chose to live there and described the challenges and rewards of life underground.
