We Paid $0 for this $12,000 Private Island (in Nicaragua?!)

We traveled from Nashville to Managua, then flew to Bluefields and took a boat to Calala Island, where we stayed in beautiful beachfront cabanas. We explored the tiny private island, celebrated our 16-year dating anniversary, enjoyed the beaches, food, coffee, and outdoor amenities, and moved to a more secluded cabana. We also practiced kayaking to try to win a free spa treatment and went fishing with local guides.
