We Survived Being Trafficked By The Cartel ( Others Didn't )

We recount our journey through the Darien Gap, explaining why we undertook the crossing, how little we prepared, and the dangers we faced in the jungle. We describe encountering migrants, injuries, dead bodies, armed cartel members, and the threat of robbery or kidnapping after leaving cartel-controlled areas. We also explain how we tried to pass as Russians and recount the frightening moment when a cartel member questioned us about our identities.
