Weird Hotel In Iraq - First Day in Iraq (not what I expected)

We flew from Iran through Istanbul to Erbil and arrived in Iraqi Kurdistan, where we were surprised by the green landscapes, mountains, modern airport, and welcoming locals. We explored our unusually large hotel room and walked around Erbil, taking in its modern developments, restaurants, street food, friendly atmosphere, and occasional power cuts. We also discussed the region’s Kurdish identity, its relationship with Iraq, and why the area felt safer and more developed than we had expected.
