We explored Dakar after driving from The Gambia, taking in the changing landscape, the city’s beaches, architecture, and the largest mosque in sub-Saharan Africa. In the markets, we bought street food, a Senegalese cap, coconuts, and Muslim prayer beads, then took a taxi and got a haircut. Altogether, we spent $9.95 on the day’s experiences.
