We joined Geo for a four-wheel-drive trip through the mountains near Vardzia, visiting a monastery, old Silk Road sites, a fortress, and traditional houses. We explored a village church with sections dating from the sixth and twelfth centuries, then continued to a lake at 2,100 meters near the Turkish border. We learned about the area's history and enjoyed meeting the welcoming local people despite the rainy weather.
