What is Eritrea? The Italy of Africa?

We begin our trip through Africa in Eritrea, exploring the capital of Asmara and learning about the country’s history, geography, and independence. We visit Liberation Avenue and experience the strong Italian influence through colonial architecture, pizza, pasta, gelato, cafés, old cars, bicycles, and Italian-speaking residents. We also discover Eritrea’s peaceful, old-fashioned way of life and meet welcoming people from its diverse communities.
