Why Do The Maasai Drink Blood Instead Of Water?

We visited a rural Maasai village, where we learned about their unique culture, including their use of cow dung for washing and their housing made from natural materials. We witnessed the traditional Maasai custom of consuming fresh goat blood mixed with milk, and even participated in the ritual ourselves, finding it surprisingly sweet. We also explored how the Maasai preserve their traditions while integrating into modern society, visiting a school started by a Maasai local and observing their traditional songs and dances.
