We travel by train from Russia to Baku, visiting the station, crossing the border, and following the shores of the Caspian Sea. Along the way, we pass through Derbent, Russia's oldest city, and learn about the region's Persian and Russian history. We arrive in Baku in the early morning and find a hotel near the modern railway station.
