We visit Maeklong Market, about 100 kilometers west of Bangkok, where vendors sell fresh fruit, vegetables, and seafood along railroad tracks. When a train approaches, we watch the vendors quickly fold their umbrellas and move their goods out of the way as it squeezes through the market. Within seconds of the train passing, the market returns to normal, leaving us amazed by the unusual daily routine.
